Thanks for the reply. I am now past the activation issue but now I cannot access the either the normal management console nor the web console. When I go to the web console address I get this error without being given any chance to log in:

Unable to validate the current user with the database. |
I think the problem is with my IIS settings but I can't seem to track it down.
In the normal console, I get this:
Console Initialization Error: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException:
Could not load file or assembly 'AmpLicensingProxy, Version=3.0.1.72, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies.
